Construction firm Ryebridge has been awarded a place on a new £30bn framework for public sector construction.
The Crown Commercial Service's (CCS) framework, set to run for seven years, is the most valuable framework yet launched in the UK.
It has been designed to ensure a level playing-field for smaller firms, with the deal divided into lots for different contract values and regions.
Ryebridge has been awarded two lots - for civil engineering and demolition – and is one of 128 firms to secure a place on the framework and one of just 57 SMEs.
Daniel Coyle, Director of Ryebridge, said: “Securing a place on this framework is a significant addition to our company’s portfolio and a key milestone in our future growth strategy. This announcement is yet further evidence of our expertise and position as a trusted supplier.“
The new framework has been established to reduce the number of frameworks operated by public bodies. It will be the recommended route of procurement for all central government department jobs.
It is the first government-led construction agreement which can be used by the entire public sector and will assist central government and the wider public sector to construct, refurbish, repair, demolish and decommission as required across the UK.
